REF Committee elected

Local resident, Bob Crudgington, outlines the objectives of REF ( Redcliffe Environmental Forum Inc. ) to a group of people who assembled at Hayes Inlet for the inaugural meeting.

The objectives of the group are to enhance the lifestyle of residents and visitors to the Peninsula through

. the promotion of nature conservation, the arts and healthy exercise

. the promotion and education of environmentally sustainable practices

. encourage the preservation and quality of Moreton Bay Marine Park and

'green zones' within Redcliffe

. promotion of the arts as an expression of a healthy environment

. promotion of active exercise via nature walks and other events.

The Committee elected at the meeting includes:

President : Bob Crudgington

Secretary : David Lergessner

Treasurer : Lesley Parker

Committee Members : Mary Brown, Claudine Sotiau, Melinda Robey and Peggy Walsh.

Councillor Rae Frawley agreed to be REF's Patron.

The next Meeting of the Committee is on Wednesday Jan 11 at 7pm at Bob's house.
