From the Management Meeting 15-02-06

Hi

Membership is on the rise and the Forum is even earning interest in its Bendigo Bank acount.

Any members seeking a receipt for their membership should email the Secretary - legs99@hotmail.com and an electronic one will be forwarded.

There are lots of things on our calendar in the coming WEEKS!!!

This Sunday - Feb 26 - sees the Marine Monitoring training at our new headquarters in Redcliffe High School's Special Education Unit ( right behind the Library at the front of the schoool ). If you are over 16 and haven't registered you should email Bob ASAP on bobcrudgington@powerup.com.au

REF has registered a site at the end of Duffield Road for Clean-up Australia Day - March 5. The clean-up starts at 7.00am and ends at 9.00am so that people can do their bit without risking the sun's rays. It is not the most glamorous area but REF is committed to protecting Hays Inlet and this site is right in the middle of it.

REF will be present at the Environmental Expo for schools at Sandgate High on March 8. Bob Crudgington has prepared a powerpoint presentation which will be used to promote the 'E' in REF. David Lergessner will be present to promote our organisation amongst the many schools which will send representatives to the Expo.

REF needs your help. World Environment Day is June 5 and to coincide with this, REF has obtained space as a Community Group at the Redcliffe Museum to promote the need to protect our coastal environments especially Hays Inlet. REF needs artefacts which could be loaned for the duration of the display from late May to late-August. Contact David on legs99@hotmail.com if you have something to add to the turtle skull and crabpot already collected. REF has also applied to participate in the Museum's Community Fair on October 18.

Until next time.

David
